The Golden Triangle: Delhi, Agra & Jaipur
The ultimate 7-day introduction to India's most iconic cities, the Taj Mahal, and royal Rajasthan.
The Golden Triangle is the most famous tourist circuit in India. It connects the capital city of Delhi, the home of the Taj Mahal (Agra), and the royal Pink City of Jaipur.
This 7-day itinerary is the perfect pace for first-time visitors to India. It gives you enough time to see the major highlights without feeling rushed.
What to Expect
- Transport: The fastest way between Delhi and Agra is the high-speed train. For Jaipur, a private driver is highly recommended as it allows you to stop at Fatehpur Sikri.
- Weather: October to March is the best time. It is cool and comfortable for sightseeing.
- Culture Shock: Delhi can be overwhelming for a first-timer. Take it slow, use app-based cabs (Uber/Ola), and hire certified guides.
Alternative: The 5-Day Express
If you only have 5 days, skip the night in Jaipur. You can do a “Golden Triangle Express” by doing a day trip from Delhi to Agra (via train), returning to Delhi, and then taking a separate day trip to Jaipur.
